Each of our classes have a specific type of dress required for the style of dance, so take note of your class and the requirements:

1. Hip Hop & Breakdancing

  • Loose, modest clothing (sweatpants are easiest)

  • "Indoor only" runners

2. Contemporary & Jazz

  • Modest, flexible clothing, body suit (optional)

  • Bare feet (optional jazz shoes for jazz class)

  • Hair tied back

3. Intro to Dance

  • Bare feet

  • Hair tied back

4. Tap

  • Casual, comfortable clothing

  • Black tap shoes

5. Ballet

i. Preschool Ages 3-5 & Ages 6-8 Ballet

  • Pink body suit, ballet pink tights, pink ballet slippers

  • Hair tied up

ii. All Other Ages 8+ (kids in the 8-10 and up ballet)

  • Black body suit, ballet pink tights, pink ballet slippers (additional warm-up clothing may be worn but only for the first few minutes of class)

  • Hair tied back

  • Boys/men - black leggings/shorts, white fitted t-shirt, black ballet slippers

iii. Esteem Ballet

  • Comfortable clothing that you feel free to move in and allows your ankles and feet to be visible

  • Pink ballet slippers

6. Dancing for Healing

  • Comfortable, flexible clothing

  • Bare feet

7. Ribbon Dancing

  • Modest, flexible clothing that is comfortable

  • No sleeves with excess material as it may interfere with the ribbon

  • Bare Feet

  • Hair tied back

8. Social Dancing

  • Comfortable, flexible clothing

  • Shoes that will securely stay on feet - it is most beneficial to have shoes that are not rubber soled, so that they don’t stick to the floor
